Chicago Activities

We're excited to celebrate with you this weekend, and we hope that our out-of-town guests can spend some time enjoying the great restaurants and activities that Chicago has to offer! For a long list of ideas, check out The Ultimate Chicago Bucket List. Some of our favorite activities are below:

On the Water

A must do for every Chicago visitor, take a guided Chicago Architecture Center River Cruise through downtown and learn about the iconic Chicago architecture.

Rent a paddleboard or kayak or take a river kayak tour with Kayak Chicago River - Tours & Rentals.

Soak up the sun at one of the many Chicago Beaches.

Sightseeing and Urban Adventures

Stroll through Millennium Park and take a selfie at The Bean.

Take in the views from the Skydeck Chicago at Chicago's tallest building, Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower), which is also Jordan's work building.

Chicago is defined by its distinctive neighborhoods, so consider exploring some of our favorite parts of town:  Wicker Park/Bucktown (where we live!), West Loop (where the wedding is taking place), Andersonville, and Wrigleyville/Boystown.  The 606 in Bucktown is one of our favorite walks.

Catch one of the White Sox games (sorry, no Cubs this weekend!).

If you're in town for an extra night, have some laughs at the famous comedy club The Second City.

Food

Enjoy a slice of Chicago deep dish pizza at Labriola Chicago, or try our favorite pizza place Paulie Gee’s in Logan Square with their award-winning Detroit style pizza.

Get a little tipsy with one (or a few) of the creative cocktails at The Aviary, which is part of the same restaurant groups as one of Chicago's best restaurants Alinea.

They don't take reservations, but Au Cheval serves one of the best burgers in town.

Take advantage of the warm summer weather, and make brunch reservations (as soon as possible) at The Godfrey or one of the other great rooftop locations in Chicago.
